Beyoncé’s music label, Parkwood Entertainment, is facing a lawsuit for copyright infringement over the use of a sample in her 2022 single, “Alien Superstar.”

The lawsuit claims that Beyoncé’s team obtained permission from the wrong person to use the sample.
The lawsuit seeks a portion of the royalties and sale profits from the song.
This is not the first time Beyoncé has faced claims of copyright infringement regarding her 2022 album, with the band Right Said Fred also alleging unauthorized use of their song “I’m Too Sexy” in “Alien Superstar.”
Beyoncé and her team have responded to the allegations, stating that permission was granted for the use of the sample and that the claims are erroneous.
