San Francisco 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith, who missed nine games last season while serving a suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse and personal conduct policy, may have to sit out more games after another arrest on Thursday night.
According to the Santa Clara Police Department, Smith was arrested Thursday night for an alleged hit and run, DUI and vandalism. Bond was set at $26,000.
Smith, 25, is no stranger to off-field issues. In 2012, he was arrested for DUI and, in a separate incident, was stabbed at his own house party that led to weapons charges. A car accident in 2013 led to his second DUI, a rehab stint, and five missed games.
