The American Dream, No Wall Can Contain

Could be a spectacular State Fair this year up in Salem, Oregon, over the Labor Day weekend.

Besides Hot Dog and Pie-Eating contests and 4H and Future Farmers of America exhibits, a new crop will be featured this year: Marijuana.

The Oregon Cannabis Business Council is sponsoring the exhibit. Nine plants of Oregon’s finest flowers will be displayed in a greenhouse and monitored by a security guard.

Not so fast! Only people age 21 and older will be allowed inside.

“We are doing it 4H style,” Fair spokesman Dan Cox said. “You get a blue, purple or yellow ribbon. We are celebrating the plant as a farm crop from Oregon.”

“Plant that bell and let it ring!”
-Neil Young
