The starting bid for Slash‘s Guns N’ Roses red B.C. Rich Warlock is a whopping $30,000, and its projected to reach between a $60,000 to $80,000 sale price.
The guitar is signed on the body with Slash’s signature skull and crossbones wearing a top hat above a “R & Fn R” banner.
Need a little background to be convinced of the value?
Slash ordered the custom model from the Hollywood Music Store in Los Angeles in 1984. Its first performance took place at Madame Wong’s West in Santa Monica that same year.
It also played the Troubadour in West Hollywood in 1985, when Slash performed in the first Guns N’ Roses show with Axl Rose, Steven Adler, Izzy Stradlin, and Duff McKagan. Slash ended up performing with this guitar more than any other between ’84-’87, when he wrote “Welcome to the Jungle” and “Sweet Child of Mine” on Guns N’ Roses debut Appetite for Destruction. He even auditioned for Poison with it in March 1985.
The B.C. Rich Warlock was last played in 1987 and has since been stored by Slash with the original Anvil hard case.
