I am a massive fan of Janis Joplin…she is my favorite singer of all time. I’ve often said it bums me out to think she would have had a hard time finding success these days as she wasn’t the “polished total package popstar” that is now so popular. Of course, many pop princesses these days get the help of auto-tune. However, Janis was beyond soulful, had a perfectly imperfect passionate voice and needed no help from auto-tune. Check out the proof. *Audio starts at :25 seconds.
