Watch an Embarrassed Dave Grohl Listen to a Demo of the First Song He Ever Wrote and Recorded

Remember Dave Grohl’s 2014 documentary miniseries “Sonic Highways” on HBO? If you are a fan of the show then you will love this new outtake which features a never-before-heard recording from Dave Grohl.

“Gods Look Down” was the first song Dave Grohl ever wrote and recorded, on top of that, it was also the first track he recorded in famed Seattle studio The Laundry Room, same place Nirvana also worked. (FYI, another studio version of Grohl’s song was released on the final album of Grohl’s former band in the late 80’s, Scream.)

Check out the clip below (courtesy of The Laundry Room’s YouTube channel), as you can see Dave Grohl is embarrassed as he listens to the original 8-track tapes in the studio with Laundry Room owner and producer Barrett Jones.
