Not all Pearl Jam members inducted into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

In this week’s episode of Yesterday’s News Today, Baby Huey and Chasta question why only half of Pearl Jam’s members have been inducted into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Also, Baby Huey reviews the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ recent performance in Oakland:

Red Hot Chili Peppers

The band’s Oracle Arena performance this past weekend exceeded audiences expectations, according to Mercury News:

The four Peppers – Flea (aka, Michael Balzary), vocalist Anthony Kiedis, drummer Chad Smith and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer – certainly charged through their Oakland set, rocking out some 20 songs in under two hours. The band sounded great, especially Klinghoffer, a relative newcomer to the fold, whose cutting, shifting leads add so much to the sound. There were also a few sidemen, adding depth to the music with percussion, keys and, at one point, even a second bass.

Pearl Jam’s Hall of Fame induction

With Pearl Jam recently joining the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, fans question why certain past drummers were inducted over others. Pearl Jam took to Twitter to express their solidarity with each band member who has shared and contributed to their success after inviting all five drummers to the ceremony:

While awards and accolades are understandably subjective and a countless number of our peers have yet to be honored, we do feel fortunate to be recognized and provided the opportunity to reunite with everyone who has been part of the group… Looking forward to seeing them and all the other musicians on the bill.
