Metallica Performs ‘Now That We’re Dead’ On The Late Show

Monday night Metallica returned to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to perform “Now That We’re Dead” off their tenth album Hardwired… to Self-Destruct (2016). James Hetfield shouts, “If you want to live forever, then you must die first.” The band then thunders through riffs and hooks under a blood-red light, their cover art morphing in the back screen.

Metallica has successfully sold over 110 million albums since the band’s inception, and Hardwired…to Self- Destruct sold 291,000 albums in its first week, shooting it to #1 on the Billboard Album charts.

RecentlyMetallica was in the news for replacing stolen instruments for their tribute band Blistered Earth. Metallica fans can catch the band live at AT&T Park on August 7th and Outside Lands on August 11th.
