Judas Priest releases new mobile game ‘Road to Valhalla’

Judas Priest decided to take their songs and put them into an interactive form, announcing their first ever mobile game “Road to Valhalla.”

The game’s objective is to battle characters from different Judas Priest songs on the way to Valhalla. Some of the songs in the game include, “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’, “Breaking The Law,” “Electric Eye,” “Turbo Lover,” “Painkiller” and “Halls Of Valhalla.” Frontman Rob Halford talked about the release of the game in a statement:

When we set out to make this game, we wanted to give fans a new kind of visual listening experience. For the first time, we are making individual stems of our songs available to fans to give them a new and interactive way to engage with some of the best songs from our catalog.

Halford also talked to Billboard about bringing the characters and songs they’ve created to the game.

It’s like a little microcosm of that world we’ve created with the characters over these years that come to life in a very good way…All the songs that were incorporated are great songs. It’s quite challenging, and it’s a lot of fun…Along the way you’re attacked by all these incredible beasts, a lot of whips and chains and motor bikes and tour buses. I think this is part of the great escapism that we try to make with metal. You can actually be part of the experience rather than just listening with this.

Check out some screenshots of the game and download it on the iTunes App Store now.
