Comedian Jay Mohr relives fist fighting an audience with Tracy Morgan

SAN FRANCISCO – Comedian Jay Mohr joined Lamont and Tonelli in studio and reminisced about his long lasting friendship with peer Tracy Morgan.

During the interview Jay began telling the story of him drunk driving to one of his shows in the 90’s and helping him fight an audience that had turned on him.

“I walk in and hand to god Tracy Morgan is fist fighting the audience,” Mohr recalled. “What happened between ‘how’s everyone doing tonight?’ Tracy is dropping dudes with a body shot.”

Mohr complimented Tracy’s fighting prowess and form but was still confused by his trash talking.

“He’s talking trash the whole time he’s fist fighting, he’s going, ‘Yea! I miss my daughter!’ He doesn’t even have a daughter at the time!”

Jay eloquently compared the fight to going out to karaoke with your friends, “I go to jump in because im drunk and that’s our Karaoke. I know the words to this i’m gonna wait till the chorus to come over the top with three shots.”

In the confusion on the fight Morgan almost punched the helpful Mohr but stopped a punch inches from his face.

“He stops at my eyelash and he goes ‘I’m not gonna mess with you Jay Mohr, you legendary! Let’s go get pregnant!’ which was his way of saying ‘I almost hit you.'”

Jay Mohr is performing this weekend at Cobb’s Comedy Club this weekend in San Francisco. To catch more of his hilarious anecdotes live you can buy tickets here.
