Ozzy Osbourne was recently asked if “rock is dead,” and he had a simple response: “I’m still alive.”
In his interview with 95 WIILROCK at the Chicago Open Air Festival on July 16, Osbourne spoke about his career and the way the industry is evolving.
[But] I never thought in my lifetime I’d see the demise of records. I never use the computer. It’s totally changed. A lot of people steal music now, so a lot of people can’t afford to do it anymore.
Though the Prince of Darkness sees times changing, he has no plans of stopping anytime soon.
I think I’ll do this till the day I die. It’s not a job; it’s a passion. It’s great. It pays well.
Osbourne is back on tour with his band after Black Sabbath finally called it quits in February and he will return to the stage on August 9 at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip in Sturgis, South Dakota.
