Here are some highlights:

On the fans reaction to when he and Dean finally put their fists together signifying their reunion:

“Obviously we all kind of know how big of a deal the Shield was, and what it would maybe mean to mend those fences, but you never know. Are people going to remember? That was 3 years ago. People have such a short memory nowadays that it’s really a testament to how much The Shield meant to the fan-base that they cared enough and remembered what it meant for us to put our fists together in the middle of the ring like that. I think it’s just a cool feeling to know that people still care after all this time.”

On being proud to be the first of his generation on the cover of the WWE 2K series:

“That’s huge, and not just for me personally, but for our guys, our group of guys and gals…who are out here every single week just working full time on the road. To have one of us get the cover of that is really a nice big thing…you know last year Brock Lesnar, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock these are guys who paved the way, done a lot for us, but they’re not on the road grinding with us every single day now. For us to have one of our crew on there, one of our generation on the cover for the first time is a really good feeling. I was honored and humbled to have that position, and to be amongst an elite crew like the guys I mentioned before. It’s really an awesome thing, and I am happy to be an ambassador for the game which is great, and for 2K, and for WWE, and for our generation.”

Reflecting on winning the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 31:

“You can’t really put a moment like that into words. When youre a kid…you dream of throwing a last second touchdown pass to win the game or bottom of the 9th in Game 7 of the World Series, and in our industry that’s exactly what that was. There probably will never be another opportunity to create a moment like that ever again. It will go down in Wrestlemania folklore and history forever, and be replayed until we don’t do replays anymore. For me you can’t put into words how much that means, and how much that does for me personally. Definitely a fulfillment of a lifelong dream.”

On the brand split creating healthy competition:

“Obviously we miss the Smackdown boys, and they miss us, but at the same time we want to beat them in the ratings; we want to have better matches, better shows, better stories than they do. We want our titles to mean more all that stuff so when we do cross promote shows like SummerSlam or Survivor Series it’s always a coup to see who has the better tag team title match or who’s going to have the better title match or who’s matches are going to be the bigger matches on the show. I think it’s been good. It’s definitely been healthy for the guys on Raw, and for me personally to have an extra day off a week is very helpful too from a mental perspective and to heal up your body. I think its only been good so far.”

On Shawn Michaels being his dream match opponent:

“Shawn Michaels…he’s always my answer just because he’s my favorite wrestler ever, and I think he’s just the best. I’d love to go out there and tear it up with him at Wrestlemania, you know they don’t call him Mr. Wrestlemania for no reason. The guy is just incredible at what he does, and obviously I could learn a lot being in the ring with him, but it would just be fantastic to get out there, and have a match with him.”
