Baby Huey & Chasta chat with local neXt2rock finalist Burn River Burn. The band’s sound is best described by their name which stream from a fire along the Cuyahoga River back in 1969. With drawing inspiration from this environmentally tragic event, Burn River Burn is that same sort of “dark and seedy and gritty; moving, rock and roll” says Chasta. Their high energy rock is seeded with heavy influences from Sabbath and Soundgarden.
While the band generally avoids competition, neXt2rock was the perfect platform for the band to get their art and music out there. “We’re out of control with writing right now, and have a catalog of 20 new songs for our next record and we’d really love to step it up with the recording process” add drummer Kevin Amman.
What’s next? Burn River Burn is currently on tour through the end of the year, and ready to tackle 2018 with the release of their new songs. The neXt2rock local finalist will be announced on November 21st, and the top five nationally voted best bands will take the stage on December 12th at the iconic Viper Room in Los Angeles. The winner will receive a deal with Big Machine/John Varvatos Records and radio airplay.. and be named neXt2rock.
