Last Tuesday, WWE Superstar Chris Jericho and his band Fozzy made their Bay Area stop at Slim’s in San Francisco as apart of their Judas Rising 2018 Tour. Fozzy has been out on the road in support of their latest album “Judas” and as a lifelong wrestling fan and a huge fan of Chris Jericho I couldn’t miss this show. After picking up Bimbo Jimbo we made our way over to Slim’s and as we walked in right as Fozzy was hitting the stage. The lights went down and the crowd was going nuts with anticipation for the band to start playing. Jericho and the rest of the band came out and first song of the night was their hit, the title track “Judas.” The crowd was so into it, Jericho had them in the palm of his hand. The next song was “Drinkin’ With Jesus” another favorite song of mine from the new album. About half way into the set Fozzy played their second single “Painless” and after that Jericho came out with his light up jacket that we normally see at WWE shows. The next song for Fozzy was “Spider In My Mouth.” Towards the end of the set Jericho invited Phil Demmel from Machine Head and James Durbin onto the stage to perform a cover of AC/DC’s “T.N.T.” The whole night was so much fun. Chris Jericho proved once again he’s an amazing entertainer in and out of the ring and on the stage. Jericho’s years in the professional wrestling world has really helped him become an amazing front man for Fozzy. Jericho’s style on stage reminds me of Bruce Dickinson, Axl Rose and David Lee Roth. After missing their performance at last year’s Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, I was so happy to finally see Fozzy live and they were amazing from start to finish. I can’t wait to see Fozzy live again and encourage everyone to get their latest album “Judas.”
