Lynyrd Skynyrd performs for The Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour tonight from Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA. The band formed in 1964 under the name My Backyard officially became Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1969 before releasing their first studio album in 1973.
The southern rock gods have sold over 28-million records in the United States and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006. In January of 2018, they’d announce their Farewell Tour which began on May 4th in West Palm Beach, FL, and ends on September 1st in Atlanta, GA.
Special guests for the tour include Kid Rock, Hank Williams Jr and others including Bad Company and Blackberry Smoke who will both perform at Shoreline Amphitheater on Friday, May 21st.
