Listen To The Smashing Pumpkins’ New Song “Solara”

The Smashing Pumpkins have released their new song “Solara.”

Solara is the first recording in over 18 years to feature founding members Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin. Recorded in Malibu, CA at Shangri La Studios with producer Rick Rubin and longtime Smashing Pumpkins guitarist Jeff Schroeder.

Fans have been waiting a long time for a new song from three-quarters of the classic Smashing Pumpkins lineup. Original bassist D’Arcy Wretzky is not apart of the song or the group’s upcoming reunion tour following some heated arguments and conflicting reports between her and the rest of the band.

The Smashing Pumpkins will perform the song live for the first time this Monday night on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. In July, the reunited Smashing Pumpkins will begin their North American Shiny and Oh So Bright tour where the set list will comprise songs from their first five albums.

The Smashing Pumpkins will be at the Oracle Arena in Oakland on Monday, August 27th. Tickets on sale now through: www.ticketmaster.com
