It’s that time of year again! Time to don your lederhosen, grab a ridiculously large pretzel and sip on an even larger beer…Oktoberfest! But did you know that this German beer festival actually started off as a wedding celebration? In fact, the first Oktoberfest was held in 1810 to celebrate the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen, thus according to the official Oktoberfest website, and the rest is well…history.
