The Bay Area’s own The Watchers started 2019 with a belated Christmas gift, releasing their cover version of Ozzy Osbourne’s classic song “Believer” on New year’s Day.
Believer is from Ozzy Osbourne’s second solo album “Diary Of A Madman” and features Ozzy Osbourne on vocals, Randy Rhoads on guitar, Lee Kerslake on drums and Bob Daisley on bass.
The Watchers features vocalist Tim Narducci, guitarist Jeremy Von Epp, bassist Chris “Cornbread” Lombardo and drummer Carter Kennedy. The Watchers nail their cover by staying true to the original song but at the same time adding their own sound to the mix.
The Watchers recorded “Believer” while in the studio recording their debut full length album “Black Abyss” which was released via Ripple Music in March 2018. Fun fact, the man who produce Diary Of A Madman, Max Norman, also produced The Watchers new album.
The Watchers‘ next Bay Area show will be with Cultural Warfare, Mudface and Cantel on Saturday, February 23rd at The Ivy Room in Albany.
