Four days into OTAs, and the 49ers are already dealing with injuries to multiple key players. Thursday provided a double-dose of bad news. First, second-overall pick Nick Bosa was diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring strain after his injury sustained on Tuesday. He will not practice for the next few weeks according to the 49ers.

Even worse, projected starting free safety Jimmie Ward sustained a shoulder injury while diving for a ball on Thursday, and is feared to have a broken collarbone. Ward has finished four of the last five seasons on the injured reserve. The recovery time for a broken collarbone is typically one to two months.

Ward, 27, signed a one-year prove it deal this offseason worth $4.5 million this summer.
