Ric Ocasek Passes Away

UPDATE on Monday, September 16: According to the New York City coroner, the cause of death was hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Pulmonary emphysema was also a contributing factor to the singers passing.


Sunday, September 15: Ric Ocasek was found dead today in his Manhattan townhouse. The frontman for The Cars was discovered unresponsive by his estranged wife (model Paulina Porizkova) on Sunday around 4:41pm local time in New York

Ric’s death comes just couple days after the passing of legendary singer and songwriter Eddie Money.
