Concert venues and artists around the Bay Area are trying to figure out the new “new” as we enter into week 3 of the shelter-in-place. Thee Parkside, an independent concert venue located at 1600 17th Street in San Francisco, is hosting a series of virtual concerts in April! The goal is to stay connected and raise funds to keep the venue and its staff afloat while they are temporarily closed. You can donate here through their GoFundMe page.
THEE LOCKDOWN: Live from Thee Parkside
How one independent music venue fights to survive the COVID-19 crisis.
Thee Lockdown is a virtual show series – live-streamed from Thee Parkside’s Instagram weekly. A handful of Bay Area bands are taking over Thee Parkside’s Instagram to connect with their friends, fans and local community throughout the month of April. This is our way of staying connected and supporting each other through this tough time.
Music venues have always been the foundation and bedrock for bands and artists. Venues like Thee Parkside are the beating heart of their communities, as they provide the space… the opportunity to be seen and heard. Thee Parkside is determined to keep the beat.
