Raheem Mostert embarrasses Jets with untouched, 80-yard touchdown on first play

Raheem Mostert has a knack for walking into the end zone untouched. It doesn’t seem to matter whether he starts at his or his opponents’ 20-yard-line. On Sunday, it was from the 49ers’ 20, when Mostert ran an outside zone play—the same type of play the 49ers struggled to execute against the Arizona Cardinals—and, well, he basically jogged into the end zone.

It’s very similar to the way San Francisco opened against the Cardinals last week; another 76-plus yard Mostert touchdown, this time on a rushing play. It’s the first time a player has had back-to-back 76-plus-yard touchdowns since Leonard Fournette did it in 2017.

The Jets, while viewed as one of the league’s likely bottom-feeders, performed well in the run game last week against the Buffalo Bills against running backs, holding Devin Singletary and Zack Moss to a combined 41 yards on 18 carries (a yards per carry average of just 2.27 yards).
