Green Day Celebrates ‘Insomniac’ 25th Anniversary With Re-Release, Unearthed Concert Footage

It’s hard to believe, but Green Day’s Insomniac is 25 years old.  And the band is celebrating with a special deluxe vinyl re-release. The double-LP set is printed on translucent orange vinyl with a prismatic foil cover.  It includes two bonus live tracks from a 1996 show in Prague. The band also uploaded 20 minutes of never-before-seen concert footage from the European Insomniac tour. Green Day added: “So we wanted to do something special, so here is the biggest glimpse ever into the Insomniac era tours from 1995-96. Never before seen footage from Europe 95 tour and Live concert in Prague shot on 16mm film in Europe 1996 with the fateful last shows on tour before returning home to go back into the studio for Nimrod album sessions. Enjoy!”
