Halloween will look a little different this year, depending on what part of the country you live in. But it’s still Halloween, and families who want to participate will need to get extra creative this year, in hopes of keeping their kids entertained with scary decorations and mind-blowing costumes! And if you’re looking for the perfect eerie soundtrack to add to your haunted house on All Hallows Eve, we have a great idea – assuming the songs will be ready and released in time.

Metallica’s Kirk Hammett has teamed up with music director Edwin Outwater to record two horror-themed instrumentals! Edwin had previously worked with Metallica for the San Francisco Symphony concerts, Metallica and San Francisco Symphony: S&M2, and Kirk says the songs “feel like the best fu**ing things I’ve ever done.” One is called “Incantation” and the other is called “High Plains Drifter,” and both are in the middle of being mixed.
