Baby Huey talked to Alex Hammerstone, the current Major League Wrestling (MLW) National Openweight Champion, about the evolving state of MLW.
Hammerstone previewed the restart of MLW’s weekly flagship series, Major League Wrestling: FUSION, returning to the airwaves each and every week starting Wednesday, November 18th at 7pm on Fubo Sports Network and MLW’s YouTube channel.
However, one important key will be missing from this event – fans.
“Once you took that aspect away, you realize how much of pro wrestling is the audience. How much of it is the fan interaction, how much is a call and response,” Hammerstone said.
The MLW organizer plan to continue with COVID regulations but are first to admit they are anxious to get fans back into the arena, even if it’s limited capacity.
Alex also talked about his faction, The Dynasty, with Richard Holliday, his friendship with a former member of The Dynasty, MJF, what makes MLW different compared to other wrestling promotions, what’s next for MLW, and his goals within the company. They also talked about Alex’s time with Bay Area promotion, West Coast Pro Wrestling, his appearances on the United Wrestling Network’s Prime Time Live, and even his entrance theme song from Queens of the Stone Age.
