Team USA Ice Dancer’s Mesmerizing Routine Set to ‘Nothing Else Matters’

Team USA Ice Dancers filmed their routine for Metallica’s quintessential track “Nothing Else Matters” and it might be the most mesmerizing thing we’ve seen this winter.

The song, originally released on the band’s 1991 iconic self-titled black album, but has been remixed over the years by many artists. The version the duo is dancing to is a mashup of the original with Australian X Factor winner Marlisa Punzalan, and additional instrumentation by Los Últimos Románticos.

New Yorkers Oona Brown, 16, and Gage Brown, 18, are Junior Ice Dancers for the United States and filmed their impressive program at an empty Bryant Park in NYC at the crack of dawn. The video is meant for their Patreon supporters who help supplement the cost of their Ice Dancing careers. The pair are the 2019 U.S. junior pewter medalists and the 20202 U.S. junior bronze medalists.
