We all know Axl Rose as the legendary Guns N’ Roses frontman. One of the most iconic front-men of all time. That voice! Those clothes! The dancing! “Paradise City.” “Welcome to the Jungle.” “November Rain.” “Civil War.” Hits hits hits. But the new documentary Axl Rose: Guns N’ Roses Frontman tells a deeper story, about how Axl was diagnosed with manic-depression and put on medication at an early age, as he made his way through some rocky rebellious teenage years. He found out his father was really his step-father, who was a Pentecostal Minister, and fought endlessly with him. He was arrested multiple times growing up in Indiana, before moving to Los Angeles in the early 80’s. Music journalist Lesley-Ann Jones says, “Axl Rose was a definitive self-destructive frontman.” The documentary airs this Saturday, January 30th at 5pm PT on REELZ.
