Ahead of their upcoming deluxe release of their 2020 self-titled album Lamb Of God, the group has released a video for their single “Ghost Shape People.”
The video depicts a soul’s journey through the afterlife, who is suddenly met by a horned demon. The jagged hellscape and heavy performance of the video fits the awesomely brutal sound of the single.
The Deluxe version will include two bonus tracks and a live version of the album, along with a DVD performance. The three-disc special edition of the record will drop on March 26.
“This album, and in particular, this deluxe edition is something I’m incredibly proud of,” guitarist Willie Adler previously said. “Throughout the process of writing, recording, and the subsequent filming of the live stream, I knew we were creating much more than a collection of songs. Much more than a simple streamed performance. This was focused energy.”
The live performance was a particular point of pride for the band, who like the rest of the music community was unable to perform in-person shows for the last year.
“Energy that, to me, is very tangible,” continued Adler. “And now, more than ever, in an era where human interaction is so limited, art…..be it music, visual, or otherwise, is a human connection point. And we need as much of that as possible! I hope everyone enjoys this deluxe edition as much as we enjoyed creating it. Thank you.”
Lamb of God has recently rescheduled their tour with Megadeth, Trivium, and In Flames which will begin in July 2021. However, it is still unclear if venues will be open across the country as Coronavirus vaccines begin to be distributed.
