Sammy Hagar is giving props to a new synthwave cover of Van Halen’s “Dreams.” The band Arena released the tune and Hagar, the former Van Halen frontman, sent a video message to the band. Hagar said, “I wanna tell you guys I love what Arena did with ‘Dreams.  I gotta say, that’s probably the hardest song in my repertoire to sing. I love the way you went to low and then went up to supersonic, and pulled it off. Very tasteful, very cool. Good luck with this. I’m behind ya!”

Have you heard the cover?  What do you think?  What other rock song needs a Synthwave cover?
