More Chickenfoot is on the Way

Chickenfoot — the supergroup that features Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani, Chad Smith and Michael Anthony — many have been mostly M.I.A. since 2012, but they’re not gone for good. That’s according to Anthony, who says the group will “definitely” be back with more tour dates and maybe even new music. “I definitely think that Chickenfoot will do something else,” the former Van Halen bassist says. “Whether we’ll record another album, which would be great — I’d love to do that. But I’d love to just together and even just do some shows — do a bunch of shows with those guys. ‘Cause that’s actually some of the best times I’ve ever had on the road.”

Chicken’s last release was 2011’s “Chickenfoot III” — the band’s second album. Is Chickenfoot’s music a lot different than the music of Sammy and Michael’s other band, The Circle?
