James Hetfield Says “Music Has Saved My Life”

Metallica frontman James Hetfield is always really outspoken, but especially when it comes to the power of music. Hetfield recently shared how much of an impact music has played in his life during a Little Kids Rock benefit. “I’m here as an example of how music has saved lives,” Hetfield says in a video for the organization. “Having an option for music, music at schools, I’m an advocate for having an opportunity and a place for people to at least explore that,” Hetfield continued. “And if they find it helpful, that’s great. And it could turn out to be a wonderful career.”

Is there a song or band that you feel has “saved” your life?
