‘Eric Cartman’ Covers Queen, Ozzy, Metallica, Green Day and We Don’t Know What to Do

TikTok, fernandoufret

Ahh, the beauty of the internet. Fernando Ufret is a veteran Youtuber who in just the past four days gone viral for his hysterical covers where he sings as Eric Cartman from South Park.

The musician has been uploading covers to the internet for over a decade, but his spot-on impression of the devilish child from a small cartoon town in Colorado has garnered him a lot of attention. On the suggestion of a friend he started a TikTok for his parodies and seems so far to have no sign of stopping.

This new genre, which Ufret has dubbed “Cartmancustic,” is absolutely ridiculous and even Ufret can’t help but laugh sometimes in the middle of a cover. Ufret says the impression strains his vocal cords a little but guesses it likely would only hurt if he did it more than an hour. Although, with all the attention he’s getting we wouldn’t be surprised if this guy eventually takes this act on the road.

So far he has covered “Otherside” by Red Hot Chili Peppers and “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life),” by Green Day for his TikTok channel and even “Mama, I’m Coming Home” by Ozzy,  “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen and many more for his YouTube Live, which Ufret has tried to keep separate.

Originally the Cartman voice cropped up in an “Enter Sandman” cover from 2014, but only recently did these “Cartmancustic” covers come to fruition. Ufret says in less than a week he has already reached a half million views on TikTok.
