Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith is giving a thumbs-up to Miley Cyrus’s cover of the Metallica classic “Nothing Else Matters”. Smith called the all-star cover “pretty epic, to say the least”. Of course, Smith might be a *little* biased – he plays drums on the recording, part of a band that includes Elton John on piano, Metallica’s own Robert Trujillo on bass, and world-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma.  Smith compared the lineup to “the Avengers”.

The track will be part of Miley’s upcoming Metallica tribute album – but no release date has been announced. Do you remember when Miley previously performed the song at Glastonbury in 2019? Check it out below:

If you could assemble any five musicians for your ultimate all-star band, who would you pick?
