This week, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich met up with a metal-loving toddler. Ulrich met two-year-old Milan Rossignol, who is fighting Langerhans cell histiocytosis.

While Milan is non-verbal due to the immune cell disorder, his doctor says, “You can see his face light up whenever [Metallica’s] videos are playing on the computer.” Milan’s parents reached out via social media to request to meet virtually.

“Milan make a big smile when he realized that Lars [was speaking] to him,” Milan’s parent, Yannick, said. “To see him like this with a beautiful smile for us, it’s very amazing.”
