Alex Lifeson is ready to get back to making music – with a new band and a new album out soon. The Rush guitarist ‘s new project is called ‘Envy Of None’, and Lifeson says the album is already recorded and will hopefully be ready sometime this year.

A year ago, Lifeson said he didn’t “feel inspired” to play music after Neil Peart’s death.  But earlier this month he released two instrumental songs and said he’d be open to working with Geddy Lee at some point in the future.

Is Lifeson underrated among the great rock guitarists?
