Stone Temple Pilots Debut Live Version “Tumble in the Rough”

A 25th-anniversary edition box set of Stone Temple Pilots’ Tiny Music…Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop will be out this month and features some live rarities. This includes a live version of “Tumble in the Rough,” the only song on the album to be written entirely by Scott Weiland.

Guitarist Dean DeLeo told Consequence, “All you need to do is read the lyrics to hear where Scott was at on that one. It’s pretty autobiographical to say the least.” You can check out the live version of “Tumble in the Rough” above – however, you can listen to other songs recorded Live at MTV Spring Break 1997 on the band’s YouTube.

The anniversary edition of Tiny Music…Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop will be out July 23.

Will you be getting the anniversary edition of this album? What do you think of the live version of “Tumble in the Rough?”
