Megadeth’s new ‘mystery bassist’ made a surprise appearance during one of Dave Mustaine’s Cameo videos.

Someone uploaded the video to the Megadeth subreddit, in which Dave Mustaine sends a birthday greeting to a fan named Alex. Mustaine filmed the video from the studio, pointing out “our mystery bass player hiding behind the chair down there on the floor, so you can’t see him”.

The band recruited a new bassist to re-record Dave Ellefson’s parts after the band parted ways with him in May. Mustaine promised that the mystery man’s identity would be revealed ‘soon’.

Who do you think the ‘mystery bassist’ is?  Have you ever hired a celebrity on Cameo?
