Olivia Rodrigo has finally opened up about Courtney Love’s accusations of copying album art. After Rodrigo shared a prom’esque photo for a concert film, Love pointed out the similarities it had with Hole’s ‘Live Through This’ album cover.

“Olivia – you’re welcome. My favorite florist is in Notting Hill, London! Dm me for deets! I look forward to reading your note,” Love said after initial saying that the two artists were “twinning.” Talking with ‘GQ,’ Rodrigo addressed the issue like a pro: “To be honest, I’m just flattered that Courtney Love knows that I exist.” Both the album cover and Olivia’s photo seemed inspired by the 1976 film ‘Carrie.’

Do you think Courtney Love overreacted to Olivia Rodrigo’s photo? Do you think older generations of musicians should be kinder to the newer generation?
