Giants Manager Gabe Kapler Stops Pregame Interview to Listen to and Admire Greta Van Fleet

Sometimes a song is so good you forget you’re in the middle of a pennant race.

That’s what happened to Giants manager Gabe Kapler on Sunday, when Greta Van Fleet began playing over the loudspeaker during his pregame media session at the Oakland Coliseum.

“Do you guys know Greta Van Fleet?” Kapler asked the assembled Bay Area media. “This is unbelievable. This band is like (Led) Zeppelin…the voice is just like incredible. It’s like so reminiscent of Led Zeppelin. Just one sec…”

Kapler then sat in silence smiling as he listened along.

“Isn’t that amazing? I want everyone to check out the YouTube videos that are out there. This band is really interesting.”
