Metallica Performs Surprise Concert At Small San Francisco Venue

Metallica played a surprise show in San Francisco Thursday night. About 400 lucky fans got to see the band do their set at the Independent. The small venue announced the show on Twitter just a few hours before Metallica hit the stage. It sold out in less than 30 minutes. Ticket prices were only $19.31, a salute to the band’s 40th anniversary.
