35 Years Ago: Cliff Burton’s Final Metallica Show

Monday, September 27 marks 35 years since the death of Metallica bassist Cliff Burton.

The night prior to his death, Burton played his final show with Metallica at a show in Stockholm, Sweden. 

In an interview remembering the show, both drummer Lars Ulrich and guitarist Kirk Hammet recalled there being “a good vibe.”

Fans can check out Burton’s final performance on the ‘Master of Puppets’ boxed set that was released in 2017.
