While being the son of one of the greatest guitarists in history certainly has its perks, it also has its downsides – as Wolfgang Van Halen has learned.

Since announcing the formation of his band, Mammoth VH, the offspring of Eddie Van Halen has been a regular target of Internet trolls, with the latest calling him out for using “VH” in his band’s name.  The latest is a Twitter user who asked, “Why after all your resistance against Van Halen fans did you decide to add WVH to your band name?” Van Halen responded by writing, “The last time I checked, that was my f***in’ name!”

The musician when on to write, “It’s this dumb sh*t where people pull things out of context and boil sh*t down in dumb ways so they can be mad at me that p*sses me off.”

Is Van Halen over-reacting to the question? Is it understandable that he might be a bit sensitive to criticism?a
