Metallica’s Lars Ulrich Reveals Unexpected Favorite Song To Play

Metallica has written and recorded a massive amount of songs over the years, but drummer Lars Ulrich still favors one from their fifth record, The Black Album.”

Of course, that album included mega-hits likeEnter Sandman” andNothing Else Matters” — but Ulrich’s favorite song of all time to perform live on stage is “Sad But True.” 

He told GQ Magazine, “I just playing that song. I play it a little differently each time. I love the tempo and giving it a different interpretation every time I play it.”
