Guitar tech Francis Stueber, who’s worked exclusively with KISS frontman Paul Stanley for nearly two decades, has died of COVID-19. He was 52 years old.
In addition to keeping Stanley’s guitars in playing condition for all KISS shows since 2002, Stueber was Stanley’s right-hand man on his solo tours. He also appeared on an episode of “Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels.”
“My dear friend, buddy and guitar tech for 20 years, Fran Stueber, died yesterday suddenly of COVID,” Stanley wrote on Sunday. “Both on and offstage I depended on him for so much. My family loved him as did I. He was so proud of his wife and 3 boys as they were of him. I’m numb.”
Should any rock act be on tour right now?
