Eric Clapton’s reputation with getting along with others has been iffy, including with fellow guitar legends Eddie Van Halen and Brian May.

‘Star Fleet Project‘ was a project done by Queen’s Brian May and Eddie Van Halen and included the song “Blues Breaker.”

The pair dedicated the track to Eric Clapton, though “Slowhand” did not appreciate the thought.

“It was so horrible,” Clapton said in a 1986 interview. “And they dedicated it to me. They sent me a copy, and I put it on, expecting something, and, you know, I was almost insulted that they should send this to me.”

Who is your all-time favorite rock guitarist? Do you think Clapton should have been nicer about the song dedicated to him?
