How Little Richard Inspired Led Zeppelin

While there’s no doubt of Little Richard’s influence on rock and roll, some may be surprised how he inspired Led Zeppelin.

Led Zeppelin’s classic “Rock and Roll” was inspired by the band’s love of Little Richard!

As the band was working on ‘Led Zeppelin IV,’ drummer John Bonham started playing Little Richard’s “Keep a Knockin’.”

Soon enough, Zeppelin had created their song “Rock and Roll.”

The band even used a violin bass that once was used in Little Richard’s band!
