Tom Petty Documentary Premieres “Somewhere You Feel Free: The Making of ‘Wildflowers'”

YouTube, @Tom Petty.

A new documentary about the life and career of Tom Petty is now streaming for free on YouTube.

Largely based around a collection of 16mm archives that weren’t discovered until last year, Somewhere You Feel Free follows the rock icon from 1993 to 1995 while he made his now-classic sophomore solo album Wildflowers.

After premiering at Sundance Film Festival in March, the film won the festival’s coveted Audience Award as well as the prize for Best Documentary Film at the Boulder Film Festival a few months later.

What’s a music documentary you’ve watched more than once (and will likely watch again)?
