Mike McGlinchey tells Lamont & Tonelli which shows he’s watching as he recovers from surgery

Life has really slowed down for Mike McGlinchey.

The 49ers’ right tackle is out for the rest of the season as he recovers from surgery to his quad. Obviously, McGlinchey will be spending a good chunk of his time rehabbing, but for now, he’s pretty much stuck on the couch.

During his weekly hit with Lamont & Tonelli on 107.7 The Bone, McGlinchey broke down the shows he’s been catching up on as he recovers from surgery.

“Season four of ‘Yellowstone’ just started, so I’m up to date on that,” McGlinchey said. “We started the ‘Morning Show’ on Apple TV, which is also really good. Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, it’s a pretty star studded cast. I don’t know if anyone’s ever seen the ‘Newsroom’ but it’s kind of along the same lines as that…It’s a good show.”

Considering he subscribes to every streaming service known to man, McGlinchey is well equipped for some long hours on the couch.

“I think I’ve got all of them at this point…If there’s one show that everyone’s talking about on the streaming service, like Ted Lasso came out and everybody’s talking about this Ted Lasso show. And I was like alright I have to watch it, then I fell in love with the show, so I kept Apple TV, then I wound up finding ‘The Morning Show’ on Apple TV.”

At least this down time gives McGlinchey a chance to refine his critical eye.

“Film and television was actually my major in college. I don’t know if I’m getting my PhD or just being a critic.”
