The living robots known as “xenobots” were created using the heart and skin stem cells from the African clawed frog and were unveiled last year after experiments showed they could move and self-heal.

Further experiments showed that the organisms can swim out into their dish, find other single cells and assemble “baby” xenobots. Most people agree that this sounds like something straight out of a sci-fi movie including Arnold Schwarzenegger, who passionately spoke about it last night on Instagram.
