Wolfgang Van Halen has had a great year, but there’s pressure being the son of the late Eddie Van Halen.

Wolfgang talked with Classic Rock Magazine recently and said that his name is “a blessing and a curse.”

“I’m very blessed to have the opportunities that I’m able to just because of my last name, but I really don’t think that the last name keeps those doors open for you,” Wolfgang said.

“If you don’t have the goods to back it up, you’re not going to be there for long,” he added. “So I guess if I disappear in the next year, I didn’t have it!”

Do you think there’s a lot of pressure to be successful for Wolfgang? Have you ever lived in a parent’s shadow?
